Medical Bipap machine also known as a bilevel positive airway pressure machine, is a medical tool that facilitates easier breathing for those who have breathing problems. It uses a mask that covers the mouth and/or nose to deliver pressurised air to the lungs. This machine is used to treat respiratory diseases such chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and sleep apnoea, a condition when breathing is disrupted while a person is sleeping. Medical Bipap machine delivers two separate pressures, one during inhalation and one during exhalation, in contrast to a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine, which only gives a single pressure.
